Diversity & Inclusion 1-on-1: The Accounting Move Report

Course Description

Join us for a conversation with Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk, founder of BBR Companies LLC, where she provides CMO-level services for professional services firms. Bonnie recently became the new owner of the Accounting MOVE Project, the only annual benchmarking research and advocacy report that provides comprehensive data and guidance on finding, retaining, developing, and advancing women and people of color in the accounting profession.

Now in its 14th year, MOVE is providing participating firms data on how to recruit, retain, develop, and advance talent in today’s tumultuous environment where fewer people are entering the profession, and many are deciding to leave it for greener pastures. Bonnie will discuss the lessons learned from the 2022 MOVE report and what is in store for 2023.

Learning Objectives:

  • Determine how firms are creating more inclusive environments where people want to work
  • Identify the top reasons why women and people of color leave firms and how to prevent this in your own workplace
  • Summarize how MOVE works and why it is different from other “best places to work” offerings
  • Evaluate the impacts of COVID and how it has changed the power dynamic in firms
