As organizations become more diverse, so does the complexity of leadership. Initiatives focused in increasing diversity and fostering inclusion demonstrate the organization’s commitment to D&I. Yet less than 1/3rd of employees believe their leaders are inclusive. Feelings of inclusion – being treated fairly and respectfully, being seen, heard and valued – boil down to how their manager treats them day to day. Inclusive leadership is fast becoming a critical competency for driving change across an organization. In this session, we will look at the link between inclusion and performance, and the importance of belonging on the bottom line. We will discuss the traits of inclusive leaders and explore steps leaders can take to foster inclusion within their teams and across the organization.
