Description

Regardless of your size of organization, creating belonging is the key to improve staff recruiting and retention. With the politicization of Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programs, a different approach is also needed to ensure that your organization doesn’t inadvertently trigger backlash. When applied effectively, the business practices and leadership techniques tied to DEI creates a feeling of belonging for all of the people in an organization. The resulting happiness improves performance, increases retention, and can help improve recruitment efforts. This is even more important for smaller organizations where there isn’t the volume of people to “show diversity” and inclusive practices that create belonging can amplify a firm’s camaraderie and team bonding even when fully virtual.
